Harford's Leah Sanders and Jenna Hathazi were named to the All-Tournament team as the Fighting Owls earned the runner-up trophy in the second year of the annual invitational.

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Harford faced off against an unknown team in Christendom College and fought their way to a well earned straight set victory.
  • Julia Gatch led the way with eight kills while Leah Sanders (18) Kyning Tillinghast (17) and Madison Scarpulla (12) all came up with double digit digs.
  • The second match was a rematch of a previous five set thriller back on September 19, but it was Harford that came away victorious this time around.
  • Savannah Meyers was a huge in the game with eight kills and five blocks and was absolutely dominant in the deciding set.
  • The Harford defense was again spectacular with Leah Sanders scooping 32 digs while Madison Scarpulla came up with 23.
  • Harford started out day two of the competition with a repeat match against Delaware Tech in the tournament semifinals.
  • For the third time in two weeks, the two teams went the distance and Harford once again prevailed with a five set victory.
  • The Harford front line was spectacular throughout the match with Kyning Tillinghast smacking 16 kills along with four blocks with Savannah Meyers close behind with 13 kills and nine blocks.
  • Captain Jenna Hathazi was the model of consistency with 34 assists and 19 digs to go with three aces.
  • Playing in their fourth match in two days, Harford went up against a Harcum Bears team that they faced in the season opener with the tournament championship on the line.
  • The first set was fascinating for everyone watching as it involved a lot of back and forth grit from both teams.
  • Harford used a late run in the set to come from behind and win the first stanza 26-24.
  • Harcum regrouped and narrowly won an exciting second set before taking over in the third and fourth sets to take the title.
  • Savannah Meyers led the Harford squad in kills (12) and blocks (3) while Jenna Hathazi picked up 29 assists, 10 digs and five aces.
