HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Harford went on a pair of 8-0 runs in the first set going ahead 18-4 taking advantage of a slew of mistakes from their opponents.
  • The second set saw Harford jump way ahead again in the second set before Chesapeake clawed back to make it a 24-22 Harford lead. 
  • With momentum swaying towards the visitors, big hitter Savannah Meyers slammed home the set clincher in one of her most efficient performances of the season.
  • The Fighting Owls went back to work in the third set with a commanding performance to close out the match in just a little over an hour of play.
  • Meyers had an incredible .714 attack percentage with 10 kills on 14 attempts along with a blcok.
  • Julia Gatch had a had a big day also with eight kills and a couple of blocks while Jenna Hathazi had 21 assists, three aces, seven digs and two blocks.

UP NEXT
  • Harford will have their final home conference match on Thursday, October 12 against Anne Arundel starting at 6 PM.
  • The Riverhawks are 1-15 on the year and 0-9 in the conference with their lone win coming against Westmoreland.
