 HOW IT HAPPENED
  • The two teams traded barbs back and forth throughout the first half as defense prevailed for much of the opening 20 minutes.
  • Down 30-25 with 80 seconds left in the opening stanza, Martin Kelly Jr. hit a jump shot that started a six point run that was capped by a Khalil Williams-Diggins three pointer at the buzzer to give the Fighting Owls the lead at the intermission.
  • The referees had a big part to play in the second half as 16 fouls were called on Harford with three technical fouls including the second tech on starting guard Isaiah Boggs that disqualified him from the game.
  • Already missing starters Malik Jones and Joshua Ortiz to injuries, Kelly Jr. fouled out in the second half leaving Harford with just one regular starter available to finish out the game.
  • Karon Green took advantage of the opportunity and stepped up to the tune of 15 points and 15 rebounds.
  • Harcum was able to pull away late, in large part to the Bear's Myron Gordon scoring 29 points including a 20-22 performance at the free throw line.
  • Kelly Jr. finished the game with 14 points while Boggs left the game with 12.
  • Williams Diggins hit a couple of long range shots while Harford shot just 3-20 from three point range in the contest.
