 HOW IT HAPPENED
  • After setting a program record for most wins in a season last year, the Fighting Owls were forced to reload as they returned zero starters from the previous year.
  • The first half was a whirlwind of action as there were 17 lead changes in the first 16 minutes of the game before the Fighting Owls finally pulled away late in the first half.
  • The second half of the game saw the emergence of guard Isaiah Boggs who made his presence known to the hometown crowd with hard nosed defense and an ability to drive to the basket, scoring 12 points in the second stanza alone.
  • Boggs was one of five Harford players that finished with double-digit points including 14 each from Malk Jones and the hot shooting Michael Micklos.
  • One of the true stars of the game emerged to be DeZ Brown, who finished off a double-double performance (11 points, 11 rebounds) with a monster dunk over a couple of Hawk defenders that brought the house down.
  • Khalil Williams-Diggins provided a spark off the bench with 10 points and four steals and showed some impressive athleticism.
