 HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Frederick came out firing early in the game as the Cougars led by nine late in the first half.
  • The game turned at that point led by a Martin Kelly Jr. old fashioned three point play.
  • Khalil Williams-Diggins followed that up with a steal and fast break dunk to close out the first half.
  • Harford kept the momentum going after the break as Batur Sahinoz, earning his first start of the season, split between a couple of defenders for a strong layup followed by an Isaiah Boggs jumper to cap an 11-0 Harford run to give the Fighting Owls a two point lead.
  •  Karon Green came off the bench to lead the team in points as he caught fire in the second half, scoring 13 of his 16 points in the second stanza.
  • With Harford holding onto a narrow lead in the last two minutes, the result came down to free throws as the Fighting Owls made nine of them over the final 120 seconds.
  • Williams-Diggins continues to impress as he scored 15 points while Kelly Jr. scored 14 with 10 rebounds.
  • Boggs added 11 points with Malik Jones scoring seven in his first game since November 2 against Brookdale.
  • DeZ Brown put in another day of hard work, with 10 points, three blocks and two steals.
UP NEXT
  • Harford will stay on the road after the Thanksgiving break as they travel to Dundalk on Tuesday, November 28 at 6 PM.
  • The Dundalk Lions are 3-6 on the year and 1-2 in conference play with a win at Anne Arundel as well as losses against Allegany and Howard.
