 HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Harford showed a dominance in size and toughness from the very start of the game as they muscled their way into layups early in the contest.
  • The Fighting Owls led 21-10 with less than nine minutes in the first half after a great dish by Karon Green allowed Carlos Done to an uncontested layup to put Harford up 21-10.
  • Done would go on to hit a three pointer with a little over six minutes in the first half, but that was the last field goal Harford would make in the first half as the shots just would not fall for the Fighting Owls.
  • Dundalk took advantage with a couple of shots from long range which allowed the Lions to crawl their way back to just a one point deficit at the break.
  • Harford stepped up the defense in the second half as a DeZ Brown block led to a Batur Sahinoz fast break tip in which was the first of seven blocks for the Fighting Owls in the second half.
  • It was the Lions' turn for the shooting to go cold early in the second half as they went over six minutes without a field goal as Harford extended their lead to 14.
  • The Fighting Owls would not allow Dundalk to have a lead in the game as Harford did a great job to out-rebound the Lions 66-47, had a 44-12 advantage for points in the pain, and scored 20 second chance points compared to just three for the Lions.
  • Isaiah Boggs led the way for Harford with 15 points with Martin Kelly Jr. close behind with 13.
  • DeZ Brown pulled down 11 rebounds and had double digit rebounds for the fourth time in six games on the year along with his three massive blocks.
  • Karon Green continues to impress off the bench as he narrowly missed a double-double with nine points and eight rebounds.
UP NEXT
  • Harford will prepare for an incredibly difficult slate of games in the Monroe College Invitational Tournament in New Rochelle, N.Y. where they are slated to face Monroe College, Northwest Florida State and Cape Fear in successive days beginning on Thursday, November 30.
