The Short Story: The Fighting Owls closed out their 2017 with a fourth consecutive victory in an impressive performance led by the hot shooting Malik Jones scoring a career high 30 points.

HOW IT HAPPENED

The Fighting Owls faced a bit of a scare early on as the Barons jumped out to an 11-6 lead after seven minutes of play despite Isaiah Boggs scoring six early points for Harford.
Coach Smelkinson made wholesale changes to the lineup and it paid off as Carlos Done immediately scored six of his 12 points in his first minute of play since November 28 to get Harford the lead on an 8-0 run.
That is when Malik Jones took over the game as he went on to make seven of his next nine three point attempts to close out the first half with 23 points on his way to a career high 30 along with a season high eight assists.
Harford cruised to a comfortable second half as all 11 Fighting Owls that stepped on the court scoring points with 66 points coming off the bench.
DeZ Brown tallied another two blocks as he is now up to 35 blocks in 13 games this season.

UP NEXT

Harford will enjoy some rest during the winter break before getting back to action on Wednesday, January 3 at 7 PM.
