  • The Short Story: The Fighting Owls made 17 shots from long distance in a dominating effort for their first victory of 2018.

 HOW IT HAPPENED
  • While some early rust may have been expected after a 17 day break between games, Khalil Williams-Diggins was clearly not afflicted as he scored 10 points in the first five minutes of the game on the way to a game high 18 point performance with four makes from long range.
  • Evason Ogbonna also made a quartet of three pointers for a season high 12 points along qith three blocks for perhaps his best game of the season to date.
  • Karon Green and Carlos Done both continued to provide valuable minutes off the bench with 11 and 10 points respectively while each also pulled down six rebounds.
  • Joshua Ortiz made just one basket, but had a season high 11 rebounds in just 12 minutes of play as the big forward dominated the glass.
  • Martin Kelly Jr. Scored nine points with six rebounds while DeZ Brown added eight points and seven rebounds along with eight more points and five assists from Malik Jones.
  • Mekhi Willis provided some spark to the end of the game with seven points over the last six minutes with Da'Von Fludd draining a three pointer on his only attempt in the game.
UP NEXT
  • Harford will return home to face conference opponents CCBC Catonsville on Friday, January 5 at 7:30 PM.
  • The Catonsville Cardinals are 1-10 on the year and 1-4 in conference play with their lone win of the year coming against Southern Maryland on November 21.
