 HOW IT HAPPENED
  • After an arduous weekend in New York playing three straight days against some of the best teams on the east coast, Harford returned home to a welcoming fan base.
  • The Fighting Owls came out firing early with Khalil Williams-Diggins knocking down a pair of three pointers in the first minute of the game as he scored 12 points in the game along with six assists.
  • Batur Sahinoz continued his steady offensive progression, scoring a couple of early buckets as he finished with a career high 10 points and six rebounds.
  • Martin Kelly Jr. took a knock to the leg early in the game but still finished the game with 10 points as he hit a couple of long range threes in the second half.
  • Karon Green came off the bench to replace the injured Kelly and took over the game right away, showing his ability to attack the basket and hit outside shots as he dropped 21 points along with eight rebounds.
  • DeZ Brown was a defensive monster with six first half blocks as his tireless effort on the court did not go unnoticed by the Harford faithful.
  • Isaiah Boggs scored just one point in the first half, but was back to his usual self in the second half scoring 12 in the second stanza while Malik Jones rounded out the double digit Harford scorers with 11 points.
  • The Fighting Owls shot 51% from the floor and 41% from three point range which helped them dominate their conference foes from across the Chesapeake Bay who shot just 30% from the floor.
UP NEXT
  • Harford will stay in the friendly confines of the APGFCU Arena as they host Monroe College on Thursday, December 7 at 7 PM.
  • The Monroe Mustangs are 7-4 on the season including a 77-69 victory over the Fighting Owls in the Monroe College Invitational last week.
  • The Fighting Owls will look to avenge last year's district championship game that Monroe won 57-55 to end Harford's season.
