Box Score: Click Here HOW IT HAPPENED Similarly to their contest against Ancilla the week prior, Harford conceded a quick goal at the outset of the game to trail 1-0 early on. After that goal, the Fighting Owls soared over their opponents as they went on an 18-1 run. The Lakers were able to snap the streak with a goal late in the third quarter, but Harford responded again with a seven goal run to comfortably put away the visitors. John Perry led the way with four goals and two assists as he is now the leading scorer in the NJCAA with 23 goals on the year. Nick Esser added two goals and four assists as he leads the nation with 21 assists for the season and is tied for the lead with 34 points. Chase Oberlin and Brandon Johnston also scored four goals with Luigi Ascenzi and Andy Stump contributing hat tricks to the Harford cause. Kyle Barkley added two goals and an assist as he sits in fourth for the NJCAA with 19 goals. Harford started the game with Adam Smith in goal for the first half and Hunar Berzangi took over the job in the second half with the two combining to accumulate three saves in the game. The Harford face-off specialists continue to be an incredible strength for the team as Chris Parrott went 17-19 with 16 ground balls and Kyle Thomas was 13-16 from the circle. Parrott has been phenomenal this season as he leads the nation with 55 ground balls and a 75% face-off win percentage. UP NEXT: Harford will continue their lengthy home stand as they host Ocean County on Friday, March 24 for a 7 PM gam.
