Injury depleted Harford able to win sixth straight

  • The Short Story: The Harford men's lacrosse team won their sixth straight game as they beat another nationally ranked team despite the rash of injuries that has plagued the roster.

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • For the third straight home game, Harford gave up the opening goal before going on a run.
  • Harford conceded the first goal just five minutes into the game, then scored the next seven goals to close out the first half.
  • Ocean County scored the next three goals out of halftime as they shut out the Fighting Owls in the third quarter.
  • Harford was able to regroup thanks to some stellar saves by Harford goalkeeper Jacob Laubner who finished with 13 saves as the Fighting Owls scored the last four goals of the game to close it out strong.
  • Kasey Davenport lead the was with three goals followed by Austin Johnston and Brandon Johnston who each added two goals and an assist.
  • Chase Oberlin and Nick Esser each scored a goal and assisted twice while Kyle Barkley and Andy Stump each tallied a goal as well.
  • Chris Parrott continued to dominate face-offs as he went 8-10 with eight ground balls.
     
UP NEXT:
  • Harford will continue their lengthy home stand as they host Potomac State on Sunday, March 26 for a 2 PM game.
  • The Catamounts are 2-3 on the season with losses against Maryland opponents CCBC Essex, Frederick, and Southern Maryland.
