HOW IT HAPPENED
  • The Fighting Owls controlled the game from start to finish as they took a 20-2 lead into halftime before taking their foot off the gas pedal in the second half.
  • Chase Oberlin stole the show on the offensive side with eight goals and two assists on just 11 shots.
  • Nick Esser and John Perry were close behind with nine points each as they both tallied three goals and six assists.
  • Andy Stump earned his third hat trick of the year with a couple of assists while Kyle Barkley and Brandon Johnston added two goals and two assists each.
  • The Harford face-off men were spectacular again as Kyle Thomas went 12-16 while Chris Parrott went 16-18 with one of his losses coming when the Fighting Owls did not have a wing player on both sides of the field. Parrott also snagged 13 ground balls in the effort.
  • Kasey Davenport provided the biggest hit of the game in the fourth quarter as he blew up a Nighthawk on a clear attempt to force a turnover with Davenport then scoring in transition.
  • Back-up goalkeeper Hunar Berzangi made his first start of the season and stopped five shots on the way to his first career win.
UP NEXT:
  • Harford will face their first big conference test as they host Anne Arundel on Saturday, April 1 for a 1 PM game.
  • The Riverhawks are 4-3 on the season with their only losses coming against top five ranked teams Onondaga, Nassau, and Howard. Anne Arundel is coming off one of the biggest wins in a long time for the program as they defeated the CCBC Essex Knights for the first time in many years.
