Box Score: Click Here HOW IT HAPPENED The Fighting Owls controlled the game from start to finish as they took a 20-2 lead into halftime before taking their foot off the gas pedal in the second half. Chase Oberlin stole the show on the offensive side with eight goals and two assists on just 11 shots. Nick Esser and John Perry were close behind with nine points each as they both tallied three goals and six assists. Andy Stump earned his third hat trick of the year with a couple of assists while Kyle Barkley and Brandon Johnston added two goals and two assists each. The Harford face-off men were spectacular again as Kyle Thomas went 12-16 while Chris Parrott went 16-18 with one of his losses coming when the Fighting Owls did not have a wing player on both sides of the field. Parrott also snagged 13 ground balls in the effort. Kasey Davenport provided the biggest hit of the game in the fourth quarter as he blew up a Nighthawk on a clear attempt to force a turnover with Davenport then scoring in transition. Back-up goalkeeper Hunar Berzangi made his first start of the season and stopped five shots on the way to his first career win. UP NEXT: Harford will face their first big conference test as they host Anne Arundel on Saturday, April 1 for a 1 PM game. The Riverhawks are 4-3 on the season with their only losses coming against top five ranked teams Onondaga, Nassau, and Howard. Anne Arundel is coming off one of the biggest wins in a long time for the program as they defeated the CCBC Essex Knights for the first time in many years. Print Friendly Version
