HOW IT HAPPENED
GAME 1
 

  • Tim Kranz pitched three innings with one earned run, giving up two hits and no walks with two strikeouts to earn his eighth win of the year.
  • Joe Smeton pitched a perfect fifth inning to close out the game.
  • Tanner Forry led the way with a 3-4 performance including a double and a home run.
  • Peyton Sorrels and Ryan Shinn each had 2-3 days with Shinn hitting a bomb over the left field fence.
  • Toby Sponseller and Ronnie Krsolovic had identical lines going 1-1 with three walks and three runs each.

GAME 2

  • Toby Sponseller had a monster game two, hitting 3-5 with five RBIs, three runs and a couple of home runs.
  • Luke Johnson continued to mash with a double and a home run before being replaced by Thomas Hojnacki who added a bases loaded double.
  • Shawn Nickles enjoyed a 2-4 day as Harford banged out 11 hits along with eight walks.
  • Truman Thomas threw four innings, giving up four hits and two walks along with two unearned runs with six strikeouts.
  • Will Reed came in relief to pitch a couple of innings with no hits and one walk with three strikeouts. 


UP NEXT 

  • Harford will next travel to Anne Arundel on Tuesday, April 18 for a 3 PM game.
  • The Riverhawks are 14-16 on the year and 8-7 in conference play.
