HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Prince George's put up three early runs in the first inning that was answered quickly by solo shots from Tre Todd, Ryan Shinn and Tanner Forry to tie the game.
  • Harford put up three more in the second after a Peyton Sorrels single that cleared the bases thanks to a couple of errors from the Prince George's centerfielder.
  • The Fighting Owls continued the trend with three runs in the bottom of the third with RBI singles by Ronnie Krsolovic and Shinn with Sorrels also scoring in the inning on a failed pick-off move.
  • Prince George's closed the gap in the fifth inning with the Harford outfield struggling to see the ball in the late night sky as the other Owls cut Harford's lead to 9-7 after five.
  • Adam Rapp would give Harford a much needed insurance run with a pinch hit home run in the eighth inning that was crushed to deep right field.
  • Starting pitcher Briar Lauer settled in nicely after a tough first inning but struggled again in the fifth as he was replaced after five batters and no outs.
  • Justin Fox was able to get out of the fifth by striking out the side while also getting through the sixth as well unscathed.
  • Tim Kranz was phenomenal out of the bullpen, facing eight batters striking out six of them and hitting the other two as he was untouchable.
  • Reid Frazier picked up his third save of the year, allowing one run in on a balk with a strikeout.
UP NEXT:
  • Harford will host CCBC Dundalk on Wednesday, April 5 at 7 PM in an Md Juco matchup.
  • The Lions are 8-15-1 on the year and 4-5-1 in conference in a rematch of the game last week that was forced to end in a tie due to darkness.
