Bel Air, Md. - Three Harford baseball student-athletes earned the prestigious honor of being named to the NJCAA All-American teams. Sophomore sluggers
Tre Todd,
Peyton Sorrels and
Luke Johnson earned the prestigious national accolade with Todd making first team All-American, Sorrels was named to the second team, and Johnson was given an honorable mention.
Todd led the country for most of the year in slugging percentage and on base percentage and finished the year with an incredible batting line of .408/.577/.856. He drew 68 walks, which was nine more than the second most walks for a player in the NJCAA, along with 20 home runs and 40 stolen bases while adding excellent defensive from behind the dish.
Sorrels finished the year fifth in the nation with a .451 batting average and had 32 extra base hits on the year as he solidified second base and the second spot in the line up early in the year.
Johnson split time between catching and the designated hitter role and completed the year tied for second for most home runs in the country with 21 as the right handed slugger proved to be one of the most dangerous power bats in the NJCAA.
The trio of Harford players bring the total number of Fighting Owls to make the NJCAA All-American teams to 11  in program history. Sorrels joins Mike Adams (2016),Â
Brett Hash (2015) and James Wilson (2011) as Division I Second-Team members while Todd became the first Division I First-Team honoree in school history. Head coachÂ
Tom Eller has now guided 10 All-Americans, but this marks the first time that he has coached three All-Americans on the same team.
