HOW IT HAPPENED
  • In the first match of the day, Harford took on local rivals Cecil with the Seahawks taking the first two sets.
  • The Fighting owls crawled their way back into the match with victories in sets three and four, but ultimately were not able to complete the comeback and fell in the deciding fifth set.
  • Savannah Meyers and Jenna Hathazi tied with eight kills each in the first match with serving extraordinaire Allie Hallameyer added another five to her name.
  • After waiting almost three hours from the end of their first match and the beginning of the second one, Harford took the first set to extra points where they narrowly lost 28-26.
  • Harford dominated the second set 25-17 after jumping out to a significant early lead, but losses in sets three and four deprived the worthy Fighting Owls of having their efforts rewarded.
  • Meyers led the team again in put-aways with 12 while the defense was put under immense pressure as freshmen uo Leah Sanders and Madison Scarpulla combined for 39 digs in the four-set match,
