 HOW IT HAPPENED
  • The Fighting Owls and Avengers started out looking very even early on, but a big 11-0 run including five points from Khalil Williams-Diggins had the Fighting Owls ahead 19-8.
  • Karon Green made a big impact off the bench as he tends to do, scoring on back-to-back possessions including a three pointer off a great inbounds pass by Isaiah Boggs to keep Harford ahead by 11 late in the first half.
  • ASA would make a late run in the first half and get to within two, but Brown made a tough basket and was fouled to make an old fashioned three-point play to have the Fighting Owls ahead 35-30 at the break.
  • After being held to just a couple of free throws in the opening 20 minutes, Martin Kelly Jr. made a huge three-pointer out of the intermission to get Harford ahead by four.
  • The Fighting Owls continued to attack the paint with Green and Boggs making tough layups followed by Joshua Ortiz throwing down a massive dunk along with an Evason Ogbonna long range shot to get Harford ahead 56-43 with 10 minutes left.
  • ASA answered with a 9-0 run and made it a one possession game with four minutes left.
  • Harford answered in the best way possible with layups by Malik Rountree, Green and Williams-Diggins and a fast break dunk by Brown to put the game away and give Harford a hard fought victory.

  • Harford will be celebrating their AD Honor Roll ceremony at halftime of the game where all of the Fighting Owls student-athletes that made honor roll in the fall semester will be honored.
