Fighting Owls Triumph Over Dragons

Bel Air, Md. – The Fighting Owls took care of business on Tuesday, downing the Howard Dragons in straight sets (25-9, 26-24, 25-12)

With the win, Harford (10-9, 4-3 Md Juco) moves up to fourth place in the Md Juco conference standings. Howard falls to 3-14.

Game Summaries
Set 1: Harford 25-9
The ladies in blue rolled through set one, keeping the Dragons offense at bay while Faith Hill created plenty of chances for the Harford attack.

Set 2: Harford 26-24
The middle set proved to be the most entertaining of the night. Howard would lead throughout the set, forcing Harford to call a timeout down 21-24.
Kayla Reiswig would take over out of the break, tallying five kills during Harford's 7-0 stretch to hand the Fighting Owls the win

Set 3 Harford 25-12
Much like the game's opening set, Harford went ahead quickly and never looked back. The ladies in blue jumped out to an 11-3 lead early and ended the game scoring seven of the last eight points to earn the sweep.

  • Maria Lopez (14 kills, five aces), Reiswig (10 kills, four aces) and Hill (18 assists) led the Harford offense Tuesday night.
