Brown Breaks Blocks Record In Harford Victory

  • The Short Story: The Fighting Owls won their first of two warm up games in preparation of the regional tournament, defeating Southern Maryland for their 22nd win. DeZ Brown picked up three blocks in the game to break the Harford record for most blocks in a single season at 73.

 HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Malik Jones once again led Harford in scoring with 18 points on 7-11 shooting including a trio of treys with Khalil Williams-Diggins close behind with 17 points along with 5 assists.
  • Martin Kelly Jr. scored 14 points with 7 rebounds and picked up a trio of blocks.
  • DeZ Brown swatted an early shot to break Dom Keyes' record for most blocks in a single season in Harford program history that was set last season. Brown had three blocks on the day and now has 73 on the year as he will look to add to that newly set record.
  • Isaiah Boggs scored 11 points and narrowly missed a double-double with 8 assists.
UP NEXT
  • Harford will close out their regular season schedule with a bonus game against Howard on Tuesday, February 27 at 7 pm.
  • The Howard Dragons are 9-15 including a dramatic 117-105 game that Harford won in Columbia, Md. back on January 31.
