Harford Tames Dragons In Regular Season Finale

  • The Short Story: The Fighting Owls played in their final warm up game before the regional tournament, with Evason Ogbonna's career day leading Harford over the Howard Dragons 88-63.

 HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Harford led 38-32 at the half with Malik Jones and Martin Kelly Jr. combining for 21 of the Fighting Owls' points.
  • The men in blue also put in a strong defensive showing during the first 20 minutes, forcing Howard to shoot just 23.7% from the field.
  • The second half quickly turned into the Evason Ogbonna show, who scored all of his career high 22 points after the break.
  • The Fighting Owls shot well during the final 20 minutes, posting a mark of 52.8% from the field.
  • Led by Ogbonna, Harford's bench would outscored Howard's reserves 52-16.
  • Jones would finish the game with 20 points and seven assists. Isaiah Boggs added 11 points in just nine minutes while Kelly Jr. chipped in 10.
  • Malik Rountree, Batur Sahinoz and DeZ Brown all grabbed nine rebounds each, with Sahinoz adding in four blocks to the cause as well.
