HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Grady DiPeso kicked off the scoring for Harford by carving up the River Hawk's defense and launching a shot that found the top right corner of the net for a 1-0 lead.
  • Eli Doyle hit pay dirt less than a minute later after a great pass by Nicholas Perrot to give the Fighting Owls a 2-0 lead.
  • Perrot, Stephen Leese and Reece Wiseman would also score goals for Harford in the first 15 minutes to give the men in blue a 5-0 lead.
  • The Fighting Owls scored six more in the second quarter as Doyle stayed hot by scoring three unassisted goals and earning an assist on a fourth.
  • The River Hawks defense would hold up much better in the second half but Harford still managed to score twice in the final 30 minutes.
  • Susquehanna JV grabbed one back with a man up advantage late in fourth but would never threaten the men in blue as Harford rolled to a 13-1 victory.
  • Fighting Owls goalie Chris Stallings put on a clinic between the pipes, saving 10 shots while holding the River Hawks without a goal for three quarters before being relieved in the fourth.
  • Doyle finished the game leading all players with five goals. Wiseman netted two on the afternoon while dishing out a trio of assists. Dipeso and Chandler Schmidt each contributed two goals to the cause as well.
UP NEXT:
  • Harford's first stop of a three-game road to trip will be on Wednesday, March 14 in Toms River, New Jersey where they take on Ocean County.
  • The Fighting Owls took down the Vikings 11-4 in last year's matchup in Bel Air, who currently sit at 2-1 on the season after having lost 18-5 to Anne Arundel last Saturday.
