HOW IT HAPPENED
Game 1
  • Harford and Allegany would get the bats going early in game one and were tied at 5-5 after the two.
  • The Trojans scored one run in the top of third to take a 6-5 lead, but home runs from Nick D'Amore and Lou Testa powered Harford's eight-run fifth to put them ahead 13-6.
  • Allegany cut the Fighting Owls lead down to 13-9 in the fourth but big hits from Testa, Spencer Smith and Joey Schwartz in the final three innings would see Harford through to a 19-10 victory.
  • Nick DeCarlo (3-1) picked up the win from the mound while John Kasper earned his first save of the year thanks to three solid innings of relief.
Game 2
  • Truman Thomas (5-1) silenced the Trojan bats in the second game of the day, allowing just three hits and striking out seven.
  • Home runs from Spencer Smith and Joey Schwartz as well as a Grand Slam by Ryan Calhoun allowed the Fighting Owls to take an 8-0 lead after three.
  • Colin Adams homer with runs at the corners walked Harford off with an 11-0 mercy rule win and a sweep of Allegany on the day.
  • Harford's base running was also huge on the day as it has been all season long, as the Fighting Owls lead the country in stolen bases this season.
UP NEXT
  • Harford heads to the road to face Lackawanna for a doubleheader on Sunday, April 15 at Noon.
  • The Falcons are 15-11 on the year and will play Delaware Tech before welcoming Harford into town.
