  • The Short Story: The Fighting Owls struggled to get their offense going once again, as they scored just two goals in the game and zero in the second half as the excellent play by the Riverhawks goalkeeper kept Harford in check all day.

 HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Harford fell behind 6-0 in the game including a 5-0 deficit in the first quarter.
  • The Fighting Owls finally recovered some momentum in the second quarter as Grady DiPeso scored on a Jeff Otenasek assist.
  • Harford would score again just 40 seconds later as Shaun Vines scooped up the groundball on the face off and dish it to Reece Wiseman who buried it to cut the Riverhawks lead to four.
  • Anne Arundel responded with a goal just 17 seconds later to hamper the Harford vibes as Anne Arundel went into halftime with a 7-2 lead.
  • The Riverhawks would go onto score three minutes into the second half in what proved to be the only goal of the final 30 minutes of the game as Anne Arundel goalkeeper William Harrison racked made 16 saves in the contest.
  • Harford goalkeeper Chris Stallings put in a fine performance with a season high 15 saves along with the great defensive effort by Vines (five groundballs, six caused turnovers) and Brett Wilson (three groundballs, three caused turnovers.)
  • The Riverhawks won all 14 faceoffs in the game and snagged 40 groundballs as a team compared Harford's 14.

  • Harford will look to rebound in another big conference match as the CCBC Essex Knights come to Bel Air on Thursday, April 5 at 7 PM.
  • The #10 ranked Knights are 2-5 this year and 0-1 in the conference after an 11-7 loss to Anne Arundel on March 24.
