Kutztown, Pa. – The Harford men's tennis team took to the court Wednesday for a showdown against Kutztown, narrowly falling to the Bears 5-4.
The Fighting Owls got off to a hot start early, defeating Kutztown in all three doubles matches.
Bruno Brocanelli and
Juan Naranjo would have to put in some extra effort to take down their #3 doubles opposition but came away with a 9-7 win to give Harford a 3-0 advantage.
Unfortunately for the men in blue the ball would not bounce their way in solo action, losing via tiebreaker in #1, #2, #4 and #5 singles. Brocanelli picked up the lone singles win of the day, defeating the Bears D. Nunez Contreras in straight sets (6-3, 6-4).
