Box Score: Click Here Photo Gallery: Click Here HOW IT HAPPENED The Fighting Owls came into the game knowing that there were significant postseason implications on the line against the #7 ranked team in the country. It was all Suffolk in the first quarter as the visitors jumped out to a 4-0 lead. Harford matched that feat in the second quarter with Reece Wiseman and Eli Doyle each scoring a pair of second half goals to tie the game at 4-4 going into halftime. The Sharks scored first in the third quarter to take the lead back, but Grady Dipeso tied it back up seven minutes later before Wiseman completed his hat trick to take the lead for Harford with less than a minute remaining in the third quarter. Dylan Bielatowicz made a great dodge to shake his defender and score his first of the game less than 20 seconds into the fourth quarter and then Jeff Otenasek made a big shot from Dipeso as Harford was on an 8-1 run to take a three goal lead. Suffolk answered back with the next three goals including a game tying goal with just two seconds left in regulation to send it to overtime. After a mad scramble for the ensuing face off, Collin Beck was able to scoop up a ground ball and pass it over to Brett Wilson who charged down the field who then fed it to Wiseman for the snipe into the top corner to send the Fighting Owl faithful home happy. UP NEXT The Fighting Owls will now head to postseason play as they will face Anne Arundel in the Region 20 tournament semifinals on April 26 at 4 PM in a game hosted by Howard Community College. The #5 ranked Riverhawks go into the postseason with an 8-3 record and were 2-1 in conference play including an 8-2 win over Harford on March 31. Print Friendly Version
