HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Harford fell behind early as the Riverhawks took a 3-0 lead before Grady DiPeso made a great dodge and scored with less than a minute left in the first quarter to pull one back.
  • Anne Arundel scored in the first minute of the second quarter, but Jeff Otenasek's dodge made his defender fall down which gave him enough room to score just three minutes later.
  • Harford drew a couple of penalties midway through the second quarter, which allowed Eli Doyle to get a man up goal from Chandler Schmidt.
  • With less than two minutes remaining in the first half, it was Schmidt's turn to make a dodge inside the defense to score the game tying goal.
  • The Riverhawks scored the first goal of the quarter for the third time, but once again Harford was able to answer as DiPeso scored his second of the game.
  • Brett Wilson was able to tie the game up again halfway through the third quarter as he picked up a ground ball in front of the Riverhawks goal and was able to dunk it in with the long poll.
  • Reece Wiseman gave Harford the lead just a minute later on a man up goal from close range.
  • Those two goals started out a 6-0 Harford run with Eli Doyle scoring four of the next five goals which sandwiched an Otenasek goal in which he took a huge shot that caused an Anne Arundel player to be ejected from the game.
  • Doyle scored his sixth goal of the game to answer a Riverhawks goal and the Fighting Owls led 13-7 midway through the fourth quarter.
  • Dylan Bielatowicz scored his first of the game followed by Doyle scoring his seventh and Wiseman adding a second of the game as the Fighting Owls ultimately ran away with the contest.
  • The Harford defense was fantastic as they caused 17 turnovers in the game and goalkeeper racked up 21 saves, his second most for a game this season in a phenomenal performance between the pipes.
