La Plata, Md. - The Fighting Owls notched their third conference win this season, defeating Southern Maryland (CSM) 3-1 (25-16, 25-13, 20-25, 25-12) on Tuesday night.
With the win, Harford (6-7, 3-3 Md Juco) moves into sixth place in the Md Juco conference while keeping the Hawks (0-7, 0-6 Md Juco) winless this season.

Set 1:
Just a few points separated Harford and the Hawks in the early stages.
Madison Scarpulla's back-to-back service aces turned the set in the Fighting Owls favor, as they would outscore CSM 7-2 in the final nine points to earn a 25-16 win.
Set 2:
The two teams traded points early and were tied 9-9, but Harford would go on to win the next 10 points en route to a 25-13 set victory.
Set 3
Harford struggled out of the gate and never recovered, dropping the third set to the Hawks 25-20 while hitting .087.
Set 4
• The Fighting Owls went unchallenged in set four, reverting back to the form they had in the first two sets for an easy 25-12 set win and a 3-1 match victory.
