Bel Air, Md. – Fresh off their 9-5 start to the first half of the season, Harford kicked off the new year with a 101-72 triumph over the Community College of Philadelphia, Friday night inside the APGFCU Arena
Harford's 101 points falls just short of the season-high 104 they scored against Richard Bland back in November.
With the win, the Fighting Owls improve to 10-5 on the season, while CCP drops to 6-7.
Turning Point
Philadelphia narrowly held off a first half blowout thanks to a 9-17 mark from the free throw line. Harford received just five chances from the charity strike in the opening 20 minutes.
The Fighting Owls easily shrugged off the imbalance in the second half, knocking down seven of their 11 three-point attempts while also burying nearly two-thirds (23-of-35) of their shots from the floor to put CCP away for good.
Game Notes
- Jaedon Willis led Harford with 16 points and four rebounds.
- Naquan Williams-Day hit all four of his attempts from beyond the arc, as the redshirt-freshman continues to lead the conference in three-point field goal percentage (57.4%).
- 12 Harford players saw at least 10 minutes of action.
- Harford's post play was on point Friday night, outscoring CCP 52-28 down low.
- The Fighting Owls 25 assists in the contest is their largest amount this season.
