Bel Air, Md. – Harford suffered just their second home defeat of the season Friday night, falling to the Frederick Cougars 85-75.
The Fighting Owls never found their rhythm offensively, making a season-low 30.4% percent of their shots during the contest.
Harford drops to 13-9 overall and 8-3 in conference with the defeat, while the Cougars improve to 14-8 (5-7 Md Juco) with the win.
Turning Point
Ahead 62-61 with just under five minutes left to play, the Cougars would go on a 16-8 run to swing the momentum in their favor. The away side built their advantage from the charity stripe, as Frederick sank all six free throws during the stretch while went Harford 0-for-2 from the line.

- Harford guard Kenneth Sumpter led all scorers with a career-high 20 points, with fellow backcourt member Jaedon Willis dialing up 19 of his own.
- Naquan Williams Day finished with a team-high seven rebounds along with 11 points.
