How it Happened
Thomas Norwood and
Artur Etzberger claimed Harford's lone doubles point, besting ASA's No. 1 duo, 8-6. The two also earned straight set victories in No. 1 and No. 2 singles. Etzberger was particularly impressive in his showing, downing the highly touted Yassir Aknin, 7-5, 6-3.
John Brett delivered a huge point in Harford's winning effort, cruising to a 6-1, 6-3 win over the Avengers' Vladyslav Kulakov in No. 4 singles.
Adam Larsen tallied the winning point for Harford, but not without drama. After winning the first set with relative ease, Larsen found himself down 4-1 in the second. The sophomore from Denmark battled back, forcing and then winning the tiebreaker for a straight set win.
