BEL AIR, Md. – Harford added another Maryland JUCO Conference win to its collection on Monday night, besting the Chesapeake Skipjacks in straight sets inside the AGFCU Arena.
The Fighting Owls flexed their depth on the evening, with six players earning at least two kills.
Maddy Weyer and
Faith Hill combined for 24 assists, while
Gabrielle Pfaff and
Maria Lopez teamed up to tally 21 digs.
Harford improves to 3-4 (3-1 Md. Juco) while Chesapeake dips to 1-4 (1-3).
How it Happened
Only Harford errors kept the Skipjacks in contention during the first two sets. The Skipjacks struggled with errors as well, making 11 miscues across that span.
Harford looked dominate in all other facets, scoring at will while limiting the Chesapeake offensive. The Fighting Owls particularly impressed in the third, earning a 21-6 lead before taking their foot off the gas and cruising to its second consecutive victory.
