PLANO, Tx.- The Harford men's tennis team is set to compete in the NJCAA Division 1 Men's Tennis Championships from May 17-21. Results will be updated below daily.

Six Fighting Owls have been placed into six singles flights, while three teams will compete in the three doubles flights as well.

Day 1
Harford had an excellent first day, going 5-1 in singles and 2-1 in doubles matches. This puts the Fighting Owls tied for second with four teams and just two points behind Jacksonville for first.

Four of its matches came against Mississippi Gulf Coast CC, who posted a 20-2 record this season. The Fighting Owls won three of their matches against the Bulldogs, highlighted by triumph over their No. 1 doubles pairing.

Harford's only singles loss was a three-set thriller at the No. 6 flight. Outside of this defeat, the Fighting Owls won all five in straight sets and dropped just seven games within them.

The men in blue had to fight a bit harder in doubles play, but still managed to come away with wins in the No. 1 and No. 2 flight.

Day 2
Rain forced the postponement of doubles play on the second day of the tournament, while singles matches were moved inside to the SMU Tennis Complex.

Harford had a tough draw, facing three players ranked as the fourth seed of the tournament in No. 2, 3, and 5 singles.

Harry Collins was the only Fighting Owls to come away victorious, taking a straight set victory in No. 1 singles. He takes on No. 3 Gaston Cantero of ABAC on Wednesday morning for a spot in the semifinals.

Day 3
Harford's doubles pairings were the feature of the third day of action. The Fighting Owls No. 2 pairing of Coll Llopis/Dessureau advanced to the quarterfinals to face the 2nd overall seed of the draw. Harford took it to the pairing from Collin, but eventually fell 6-4, 7-5.

Harry Collins dropped his semifinal match in No. 1 singles, falling 6-1, 6-2 to 3rd overall seed of the bracket.

Harford ends the tournament in 11th place overall with 17 points, besting 16 other teams.
