MILFORD, Del. - The Harford men's lacrosse team toppled No. 9 Delaware Tech on Wednesday, besting its DMV foe 19-8.
Harford's offense scored six goals in the first two quarters while the defense held Del Tech scoreless until the second. While Del Tech managed to find a few more goals in the second, the Fighting Owls lead was well out of reach with Harford pouring on seven additional goals in the final 30 minutes.
Cayden Onagi led all players with five goals and five assists on the evening.
Xan Hayes (3 G, 1 A),
Carter Korzenski (3 G), and Taz Delaney (2 G, 3 A) rounded out the attack.
On defense,
Payton O'Mara and
Steven Mancha led the team with four caused turnovers.
Zach Sheppard finished 12-for-20 on faceoffs and scooped up a team high five ground balls.
The victory boosts the Fighting Owls to a 2-1 record on the year.
