MONT ALTO, PA - Harford won 6 of 7 sets played in their tri match with Penn State York and Penn State Mont Alto over the weekend.
Game one against Penn State York saw three very close sets with Harford taking the first two 25-20 and 25-21. Penn State would respond with a win in the third 25-20, but the Fighting Owls would seal the win in the fourth set with a strong 25-17 finish.
Laura Piva would lead both teams in kills with 17, and
Gianna Braxton would claim 5 blocks throughout the match. As a team Harford generated 14 aces, compared to Penn State York's 11.
Game two against Penn State Mont Alto was slightly more in favor of the Fighting Owls, with Harford securing the win in straight sets with scores of 25-18, 25-21, and 25-19. Damilola Fapohunda would earn 3 blocks in the game, while
Baylee Gentz would contribute 12 digs. The Fighting Owls had 10 aces compared to Penn State Mont Alto's 2.
