BOLIVIA, NC - The Harford men's basketball team traveled to Bolivia, North Carolina for two contests over the weekend against Division I opponents Spartanburg Methodist and Brunswick CC. The Fighting Owls would face the Spartanburg Pioneers for the first time, and face the Brunswick Dolphins for the fifth time in program history. Harford's program had yet to produce a win against the Dolphins, dating back to the 2012-13 season. The weekend would end on a high for the Fighting Owls after winning both contests and improving to 5-2 on the season. This is best regular season start for the Fighting Owls since the 2016-17 season. That year Harford advanced to the district championship after beating Baltimore City in the Region 20 Championship 74-68.
Game One: Harford 73 - Spartanburg 66
Nate Lacey would dominate the offensive output in game one, contributing 21 points and 3 assists to the win.
Paul Mason would add 16 points, 7 rebounds, and 4 blocks to the scoreline.
Ty Williams would work for 10 points and 7 assists on the day. As a team, Harford would shoot 47% from the floor and cause 21 turnovers while committing just 8.
Game Two: Harford 76 Brunswick 68
For the first time in program history, Harford would best the Brunswick Dolphins.
Nate Lacey would lead the scoring again, this time with 18 points and 10 rebounds, his third double-double of the season.
Chandler Johnson would tack on 17 points of his own, going 3-7 from three-point range. The Fighting Owls would collaboratively shoot 35% from three, and 46% from the floor while sinking 20 of 25 free throws.
The Fighting Owls return to action on November 21st as they travel to Cecil for a MDJUCO matchup.
