Fighting Owls Men's Soccer Represented with Four on All-Region 20 Team

Four Harford men's soccer student athletes earned spots on the NJCAA All-Region 20 Division I Team, highlighting the impact and consistency of a roster that blended dynamic attacking play with a disciplined defensive core.

The group features some of the program's most influential performers, each instrumental in pushing the Fighting Owls through a competitive season.

Forward Taishier Lawrence (South Africa) and midfielder Cristian Lopez-Contreras (Chambersburg, Pa.) powered Harford's attack with timely scoring and high-level production, while defensive leaders Joshua Bell (Kingston, Jamaica) and Ethan Doukhan (Marseille, France) provided stability, toughness and occasional offensive contributions from the back line. Their All-Region recognition underscores Harford's balance across the field and the strong foundation the team carries into next season.

Lawrence
Appeared in 15 games for the Fighting Owls this season, starting in 12. He was an impact forward for Harford, finishing in a tie for the team lead in assists with six, and standing alone in third on the team in points with 16. Lawrence found the back of the net five times, including a home game against Frederick Community College when he completed one of Harford's two hat tricks of the season while also gathering an assist finishing the afternoon with seven points.

Lopez-Contreras

The captain of the Fighting Owls side played like it in 2025. Lopez-Contreras started in 16 of the 20 games this season. In addition to his leadership presence on the field, Lopez-Contreras led the team in goals with 15 and was the team's only double-digit goal scorer. He also finished with five assists, just one off the team lead. Lopez=Contreras sat alone with 35 points.

Bell

A leader of the Fighting Owls defense, Bell played in 19 games  this season, starting in 17 of those appearances. While most of Bell's splendor came in the form of protecting his own end, he was able to find himself on the score sheet as well. Bell found the back of the net against Garrett College scoring the opening goal in the 10th minute of a dominant 8-0 win over the Lakers. He  created some goals as well as earning assists against Prince George's Community College and Frederick Community College to log four points on the campaign. "He was a huge reason why we were able to play the defensive formation we did," said head coach Bill Wardle "And obviously contributed massively to our team posting eight shutouts."

Doukhan
A vital defender for Harford this season, Doukhan played a large role in locking up attackers. The French native also found himself in scoring opportunities as well. Doukhan started in 18 games and appeared in 20. He scored twice, against Montgomery College, and Once against Allegany College of Mayland en route to a 4-point season for the sophomore defender. "Ethan is exactly what a [coach] would want from a two-year player at he Junior College," Wardle said.
