BEL AIR, Md. - The No. 10 Harford men's lacrosse team (3-0) earned its third-straight come-from-behind win to open the 2011 campaign with an 11-7 triumph over Delaware Tech on Wednesday. The Fighting Owls trailed 4-1 in the first quarter before scoring eight of the next nine goals to take a 9-5 lead into the final period.
Four Fighting Owls netted two goals in the win.
Ben Wilson added two assists to go with his pair of tallies.
Jacob Duarte assisted on a goal and scored twice, as well.
Matt Vikers and
Jake Crenshaw also added two goals.
Baron Springfield scored the game winner midway through the third quarter.
Jack Valenti and
Sonny Botterill also scored for Harford.
Timothy Kemena made 17 saves to improve to 3-0 on the season.
Harford hits the road for its first road contest of the season with a game at No. 4 Suffolk on March 12 at 2 p.m.
