COLUMBIA, Md. - The No. 6 Harford men's lacrosse team (11-4, 3-1 MD JUCO) won its program-best 11th game in dramatic fashion on Saturday, as Matt Ward netted the game-winner in overtime in an 11-10 victory at Howard.

The win gave the Fighting Owls the No. 2 seed in next week's Region XX Tournament and a second-place finish in the conference, tying a program-best.

Ward won the faceoff in the extra session and scored the game-winner 20 seconds in while Harford was a man down to give the Fighting Owls their seventh win in their last eight games.

Ryan Wall scored in the final minute of regulation to knot the game at 10-10, in a tally assisted by Justin Gosnell. Tom Yanchesk made 18 saves in the win.

Wall, Gosnell, Travis Greene and Jason Terry each had two goals in the win, while Ricky DeMicco, Dominic Mezzanotte and Ward netted one tally.

Harford awaits its opponent in Friday's Region XX Semifinal at CCBC Essex. One contest will be at 4 p.m. and the other at 7 p.m.
