BEL AIR, Md. - The No. 5 Harford men's lacrosse team (5-3) claimed a 22-5 victory over Southern Maryland (1-5) at home on Tuesday. The victory snapped a three-game losing streak that was against the top three teams in the nation.
Sophomore
Ryan Wall led the way with a five-goal, three assist afternoon. Freshmen
Julian Jackson and
Jake Woodhouse both added four goals while Jackson chipped in with three assists.
Dominic Mezzanotte tallied three goals and a pair of helpers.
Noah Ash played solid in net, totaling 12 saves.
Austin Schadt moved from defense to goalie for 1:31 seconds during an Ash penalty and did not allow a goal, making no saves.
Harford was slow out of the gate, trailing 2-1 to the Hawks before ending the quarter on a modest 5-1 run. They then blew the game open with an 11-1 advantage in the second quarter.
Harford returns to the field against Howard at home on Friday at 6 p.m.
