COLUMBIA, Md. - A ferocious second-half rally fell just short for the Harford men's lacrosse team in the Region XX Semifinals against top-seeded CCBC Essex on Friday. The Fighting Owls outscored the Knights 9-4 in the second half, including the final three goals but fell, 16-15.

Essex took a 12-6 lead into the half, but the Fighting Owls did not give up. Harford's scored six of the next seven goals to come within one at 13-12 with nine minutes remaining. The Knights stretched the lead back to four with three consecutive goals, but Harford would not go away quietly. The Fighting Owls mounted one last flurry, scoring three straight but fell just short.

Julian Jackson and Dominic Mezzanotte both scored three goals while Justin Gosnell, Wade Rollins and Jake Woodhouse tallied a pair apiece.
