BEL AIR, Md. - The Harford men's lacrosse has released its schedule ahead of the 2022 season.
Fresh off an appearance in the 2021 NJCAA National Championship and back-to-back Region 20 championships, the Fighting Owls return with five scrimmages and a 11 regular season contests.
Harford is led by a trio of returners in NJCAA All-American
Cayden Onagi as well as All-Region 20 members
Zach Sheppard and
Taz DeLaney. Flanking these three are second year standouts
Everett Campbell, Chris Greenstein,
Nate Surd, and
Dylan Hines. Harford will have a hole to fill at goalie after losing
Jason Roland (Wilmington University) and
Aden Walsh (Georgia Swarm). Jacob Lotz looks to be in the lead for the starting spot so far this preseason. With a strong blend of returners and fresh faces, Harford will once again be expected to advance deep into the postseason.

Scrimmages
Harford competes against a quartet of four-year programs prior to the start of the season, beginning with a double dip at York College this Saturday, Feb. 5. The men in blue will battle the Spartans of York as well as St. Mary's (MD) at 11 AM and 1 PM respectively. Harford will also travel to Salisbury (February 12) before facing Frostburg State at home on Feb. 19 to wrap up the preseason.
A scrimmage will take place midseason as well when The Hill Academy travels to Bel Air from Ontario, Canada on Mar 21.
Regular Season
The Fighting Owls begins their season on Feb. 26 at home with a major showdown against Onondaga. The game highlights
Harford's Prospect Day, set to take place from 9 AM to 3:30 PM on the same day.
March features Harford's first Maryland JUCO Conference opponent of the year in Anne Arundel (March 2). The month also features trips to Stevenson University (March 11) and CCBC-Essex (March 26).
Army Prep (April 2), Howard (April 9), and Potomac State (April 16) all come to Harford to start off April. The Fighting Owls then wrap up their conference schedule at Carroll on April 19. A rematch of last year's national championship game will put a bow on Harford's 2022 campaign when the parliament travels to Nassau on April 23.
