Women's Basketball: Fighting Owls Tame Panthers, 72-52, Henry Scores Career-High 25

BEL AIR, MD – For the second time this season, Harford women's basketball dominated Baltimore City, this time 72-52 in a strong all-around performance last Friday at APG Federal Credit Union Arena. The Fighting Owls controlled the game from the second quarter onward, using an aggressive offense and stifling defense to pull away.

Charlie Henry (Perry Hall) led Harford with a game-high and career-high 25 points on 11-of-23 shooting. The Notre Dame of Maryland University transfer also had five rebounds, a blocked shot and a steal.

Eshe Knox (Western) added 20 points - her sixth 20+ point performance this season and third in last six games - seven rebounds, and eight assists. Madison Nimmo (C. Milton Wright) finished with 17 points and seven rebounds, helping Harford establish a commanding presence in the paint.

Harford held a slim 15-14 lead after the first quarter but began to separate in the second, outscoring Baltimore City 21-15 to take a 36-29 halftime advantage.

The third quarter saw Harford's defense tighten, allowing just nine points while extending its lead to 50-38. They put the game away in the fourth, outscoring Baltimore City 22-14 to seal the 20-point victory.

The Fighting Owls' defense was relentless, forcing 26 turnovers and converting them into 24 points. They also recorded 10 steals and dominated in transition.

Harford's aggressive rebounding - led by Knox, Nimmo and Henry combining for 19 of the team's 35 boards - helped limit second-chance opportunities for Baltimore City.

The Panthers struggled offensively, shooting just 33.3% from the field and 20.8% from three-point range.

Harford's ability to control the tempo and capitalize on mistakes proved decisive. With this win, the Fighting Ow's improve to 13-12 overall and 4-0 in Region 20 Division I.

Next up: Harford will host Cheney University of Pennsylvania on Thursday. Tip-off is scheduled for 5 p.m.
