Harford's Rally Falls Short Against Dundalk

Box Score BEL AIR, Md. -- Harford saw it's losing streak climb to 12 games after falling short, 68-60 in a hard fought battle with CCBC Dundalk.

Harford (5-21, 4-11 MD JUCO) pulled to within four-points with under a minute to play in the second half but were unable to overcome first place Dundalk (20-4, 11-3 MD JUCO). The Lions were able to bear down with under 30 seconds to play, holding the Fighting Owls without a basket in their last six possessions and hitting their free throws to prevent the upset.

Harford trailed by as much as 17 points in the second half but were able to stay close enough to stage a nearly sensational comeback, pulling to within four points with 26 seconds left in the game. A big part of the comeback was the 16 turnovers the Fighting Owls forced, up from five in the first half.

Chidozie Omile led Harford in scoring with 20 points. He also had four steals and nine rebounds. Wyatt Smith scored 14 and had five rebounds, while Aaron Moorefield had 10 points and nine rebounds.

Tuesday Harford begins play in the Opening Round of the MD JUCO Tournament. They will most likely be playing on the road against a higher seed. A win would see the Fighting Owls play in the MD JUCO Tournament which will be hosted by Prince
