Harford Community College Athletics

Hopkins was a defensive tackle for the football team in 1976-77. As a sophomore, he was named First-Team All-MD JUCO and All-Region clogging the middle for the undefeated Fighting Owls (10-0) who won the Conference and Region Championships. He totaled 61 tackles (34 solo), totals that ranked third on the team as a sophomore while recovering a pair of fumbles. Hopkins transferred to Frostburg State after Harford and has worked over 30 years at Maryland Racing Commission, currently as an Executive Director.
