Harford Athletics Hall of Fame
Charles captained the Owls to undefeated season in 1983 and '84 in addition to the NJCAA National Championship game. He was the leading rusher and scorer in the Coastal Conference, First Team All-Region XX, and All-Coastal Conference in both his freshman and sophmore years; while also being named First Team NJCAA All-American in 1984.
Earning a scholorship to the University of North Alabama, he set several conference and school records before his career was cut short by a serious knee injury.
A gifted runner, possessing both speed and power, Charles had the ability to break the big play. He is best described as a complete back.
